Having watched Bartlett on the MLB extra Innings pkg -- I am waiting for some base stealer to seriously hurt this guy ( spikes to the calf, knee, or chest).
Bartlett does a koy little move of dropping his leg to block second base on steal attempts. Legal --yes(just like catchers at home plate), and he's been succesful at blocking the bag on head first slides several times. Last night Figgins slide feet first( one foot) and was blocked except Bartlett couldn't scoop a horrible throw from the back up catcher or Figgins would have been out for not reaching the bag even though he beat the throw by several feet.
When will advance scouting let their team know of his little trick and blast this kid into left field with spikes(one high--chest level-- and one low--at his knee cap)
My guess he gets injured by July 15th-- any thoughts?
