For example, I think you have very nice balance, being an experience player, but I don't know if you excel in any one category. Yours doesn't look like a newbie team as it appears you waited for value, but not too long, which can be even worse. Nice job. Agree with you on my team, I wouldn't expect to dominate in any cat.

Dan, no one really assembled an F-U offense.

Here's one teams reliever approach

Maddux

Soria

Delcarmen...I nominated him, this person won him, the draft was rolled back because THIS person misread the last name. I nominate him again and what do you know, this person gets him again. I'm still :confused:about it

Izzy

Rauch

Wheeler

T.Walker

Percival

Yabuta

M.Owings

Decent, but I still think my SP's destroy them. And not only that, their offense isn't much better than mine.

The other team

Corpas

Qualls

Gagne

Hennessey

Wilson

Torres

Turnbow

Fuentes

Lyon

Moylan

Cook, Davis, Capuano

This team has a good offense, which could've been expected due to who the owner was. I'm guessing this is one of KJ's favorites.

Again, though, I still think my staff beats competes with them.

Unless my SP's break down, teams are going to have a hard time competing, other than in SV's.

why no closers? Glad we can agree on something . As usual, I know my team will surprise. There's a TON of potential power, but I will definitely need a Keppinger like pickup to help with BA.

Why no closers? I hate closers! I had no interest in spending the amount that was spent on some guys. I guess I could've left off Haren and gotten one, but I forsee at least 30 saves  from the group I have. I have a sneaky suspicion one from the group is going to get 20++ himself.

If nobody has a dominating offense, you've got a chance, Patrick. With these teams you're drafting though, you will never have a relaxing Sunday after the season starts.

Just throwing this out there. Last year I thought you would do well, your posts indicated that you had a good grasp of the game and judgment of players, especially younger players and where each should be drafted. This year you seem over- confident, which is easy to do after a good year. Unsolicited advice, don't let it carry over to the Main, its a long six months when mistakes are made in March.

Last year, in my mind, I mentally had you down as a Rookie of the Year type player in the NFBC. Don't let the sophomore jinx swallow you up.. ;)

You definitley have a chance, but then again dont the KC Royals have a shot to win the World Series ???

You need an absolute miracle better yet, think of that day in history when Moses needed that little assistance from god to do that little thing he did..

Juussst kidding you never know this might be a new strategy...

GLY, I understand that there is FAAB, but you are lacking in so many categories that you will have to be incredibly fortunate to address all of those needs, in my humble opinion.

all these posts on all these topics on all these drafts- when you run the #'s on any of these teams and THEN put in a ryan braun, pena, pence and or carmona- take a look what happens. i bet kj duke ran the #'s for every team in the league. i bet in every hitting category form 4-12 the diff is 10- 20%. go back- take out the worst hitter and put in ryan braun. i have a good friend who won his league last year. he picked up braun pena and pence. he is now an expert on drafting. i think he is an expert on waiver wire. that is where it is at. as always- kenyon is right. gly is the best fantasy player i have seen in baseball- but even god can't keep winning from the waiver wire.

Had a lot of fun at the auction. Didn't get SB's and before you laugh at Schilling and Giles, they were computer auto-picks.

My OF is not too good. I am hoping Jenkins or Rivera can come off my bench and help. I like my injured pitchers!

I think its interesting that you and spyhunter went the route of not owning a first round quality player, even more so on spy's team. Not better or worse, just another strategy to go with, whether it happened accidentally or purposely. There is probably an auction strategy site out there that I have no clue exists.
