Tried it for the first time in a $125 WTA draft. Figured for $125 it was worth seeing the validity of it:

Looks like you'll be pushing the boundaries of the IP Minimum, at least to start the season.
On offense you're probably a little short on power. Between Chavez, Jacobs, Barton, and Johnson you might need to be looking to FAAB your way out of your CI hole.
Other than that it might not be too rough a season - unless your closers pull up lame and you don't win your target three pitching categories ***Lyon***cough***
Of course, Fukumori, Bell, and Broxton, etc. are right in line for new roles, so who knows really...
I'd love to check back in on a few teams built like this at the end of the season to see how they fared.

For this strategy to work at optimum- you need to get big K RP's. JJ, Lidge, Krod. You don't have any of them?
Also you should not be afraid to drop and pick up middle relief in a blink.
Don't get locked into your "system". meaning, If you see a breakout wire SP available- be bold.
Good luck. I think you can make it work.

Dub, big K relief pitchers to make it work??? First off im assuming a one in the K category, Secondly I think you are missing the K guys that I have Heath Bell, Jon Broxton and Joba should all be great, not good K guys.

It depends on what the other teams look like and you will need two pick ups on High K SP's along the way.
I have won with this strategy- (but in a 12 team 25 man roster (5x5)

Can you possibly not get a 1 in Ks if there are NO SPs at all? Im intrigued. I would think maybe a Peavy in the 2nd and a Shields in the 7th or so would make it a lot more feasable to end up mid-level in Ks, and those are guys who won't hurt your #s. I don't think that would have hurt the offense that much.
That said, Broxton will probably have more Ks than a number of starters.

Joba could/should move into the rotation as well. I still cant see getting more than a 1 but I could take a calculated gamble or two depending on who appears on the FA list during the season.

Do you guys think this could work in a sat league? I have thought about trying it as well but don't you usually need more than 122 points to win a league? And that 122 is if everything goes perfectly fot you.

Where did you hear that from? I won my league last year with 109. Totally depends on how competitive the league is.

FYI - When the draft is posted, take a look at NY3, team 14. They went with an 'All Reliever' draft in the Main! I had to congratulate him on his chutzpah, and I'm real curious to see how it works out.
When I asked him if it was his plan, he said, "No, but the draft was very SP-heavy, and our team just started to look like this. We figured we'd ride it out...".
