Was I the only guy who missed on this guy? I mean, last year he struck out 183 batters in 195 innings, showed much more control and at the age of 28 was ready for a breakout season. I drafted him in several leagues and thought I had the makings of a new ace. Now he's in the minors after not even being able to find the strike zone in an inning of action. Where did Hill lose it? I know his wildness occurred this spring, but it's hard to believe the coaching staff couldn't get this guy right.
Help me here. I'm not a Cubs' fan, so I haven't watched enough of him this year, but is there any hope for Hill this year?

As a Philly fan who has survived the days of Mitch "wild thing" Williams.... I can't understand giving up on the guy so soon....Hill must've made ooogly eyes at Sweet Lou's daughter or sumthin'

I was bullish on Hill as well. I was a little concerned at his ST numbers, but dismissed them as none too significant. But, since day 1 I've thought that he is hiding an injury. A minor one, but something.
He's just seemed off and the numbers bear it out. He says he's fine, but what's he supposed to say?
Bummer. I really need/needed him to step up.

I've watched Hill pitch a couple of decent games. Lou's been messing with his rotation days (skipped him a couple of times) and that hasn't helped. The Cubs seem a little quick with the demotion, but I guess they currently have that luxury. Still, the walks are a big concern.
I feel like I'm the Jerry Quarry of the NFBC.

He has shown too much good stuff to get this bad this fast. There is a piece to this puzzle that we are not being told about yet.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
