Cano Struggling

Post by rkulaski » Tue May 13, 2008 5:14 pm

I haven't seen the Yankees play yet this season. Is Cano's BABIP just very low? Is he pressing at the plate? I know some NFBCers were expecting Cano to have his best season yet...I'm sure he'll turn things around like he did last year, but a .183 avg heading toward mid May is a shock to me.

I've watched just about every Yankee game and even though Cano is not swinging at the best pitches every at bat he is by far having the worst luck possible. He is hitting a lot of balls very hard, just happens to be hitting them at people...eventually they will start to fall and when they do look out
Sometimes I'm good and sometimes I'm bad....but I always try real hard.

I've been watching him as well, and see him turning it around. His last week or more have been over .333 avg.

To me he was watching too many good pitches without swinging...he seems to be swinging more and the balls he hits are getting hit hard.

I just fear the 4 HR's that Granderson got didn't go to his head. I hope he's not trying to hit them all out now...he's in a big 1-for-21 slump.
