Damn, showing my age, since he was once traded for Ron Santo, actually this thread is for his son, Nick.
Last year, a certain wannabe NFBC'er, we'll call him CLAF for short, was proclaiming that Swisher would score 135 runs in the White Sox lineup....missed it by that much....
So the question is, how much, if any, will the trade to the Yankees improve his numbers?

i knew he was on the outs for more than his b.a. but still surprised the sox traded him. he should do better than last year- but only because he can't do worse. can this mean these sports teams are worried about the economy? yes if he plays 1st and the yanks don't go after tex. double no if swisher is a bench guy.

I think we've learned by now that he's not going to hit over .260 and in the last two years we learned that he's done hitting more than 25 homers in a season. So if the high end of his projection is .260 25, how much is he worth? At some point he is just going to be a name standing in the way of a better minor leaguer.
