I'll try to keep this updated every week or so until the start of the season.
I basically started my prep on January 10th.
For the week of Jan 10,
1. I looked at some offseason movement by hitters. I was surpised to hear that N.Swisher is a Yankee and Abreu and M.Ramirez are without jobs right now.
For the week of Jan 11 - Jan 18,
1. I concluded my look at offseason movement by hitters. Now I'll be able to keep abreast of all hitter movements from this day forward. Gregory Zaun anyone?
2. I identified which hitters I need to track in my database. That total is 452.
3. I began doing baseline projections for hitters. I got through 80 players. I'll probably run projections for ~300 players and then rank the remaining guys. Running projections is an ongoing process.
