Scott Lewis - #4 starter
Scott Lewis - #4 starter
Scott Lewis seems to have won the battle for the last Cleveland rotation spot over Aaron Laffey who was demoted today. The interesting thing was that he will be handed the #4 spot apparently to give #5 Anthony Reyes more rest.

He is the 5. It's just to prevent throwing two lefties in a row. Lewis #5, Lee #1

I hear you with the two lefties logic - but he still will be the #4 starter- and keeping Reyes healthy is a factor in that.
From Cleveland's beat writer Paul Hoynes:
Lewis said he'd pitch the fourth game of the season, which would be the Tribe's home opener against Toronto on April 10 at 4:05 p.m.. Anthony Reyes will reportedly pitch in the fifth spot to give him some extra rest.
The rotation is expected to be left-hander Cliff Lee, right-hander Fausto Carmona, right-hander Carl Pavano, (left-hander) Lewis and (right-hander) Reyes.
