20 Team draft critique

Post by GOD Loves You » Sun Mar 29, 2009 5:37 am

I've yet to post a draft for critique this season, so why not post one from a 20 teamer.........Wondering others thoughts on this team from a draft this weekend. Again, 20 team league, no trading, 5X5 weekly.

C-Miguel Olivo

1B-James Loney

2B-Mike Fontenot

3B-Chipper Jones

SS-Yunel Escobar

MI-Jed Lowrie

CI-Mike Jacobs

OF-Matt Kemp

OF-Torii Hunter

OF-Ryan Spilborghs

OF-Franklin Gutierrez

UT-Russ Branyan-hoping for 10 dingers before Arod returns

Bench-Alex Rodgriguez, Willie Bloomquist(soley for SB's and multi-postional eligibility)

Think the offense is well balanced, even though some of the parts aren't as desirable to others. Power "might" be lacking, but most of the players offer decent average, which should help with FAAB during season.

SP-Mike Pelfrey

SP-Kenshin Kawakami

SP-Ian Snell

SP-Homer Bailey

SP-Nick Blackburn

RP-Joe Nathan

RP-Joakim Soria

RP-Heath Bell

RP-Manny Corpas

Bench-Kelvim Escobar, Sean Gallagher

Starting pitchers not the best, but offer potential upside. Love having 4 closers in a 20 teamer. Believe it or not, even though I waited on starters, there are teams with staffs worse than above.

Constructive criticism is GREATLY appreciated as I have another deep draft next weekend as well.
