Back Home, Makin' Picks...

Post by Jackstraw » Sun Apr 19, 2009 6:15 am

Whew, back home finally... I knew that Dead tour was going to get in the way of things, but what the heck! You only live once, and doin' that rag is the only thing better than doing a live auction draft :D

So let's get back to business:

CLE Pavano +225

NYY Burnett -260

O/U 10-

As Jack McKeon once told me standing outside of the Philadelphia Hyatt, "Pavano sucks," and Pavano was one of his guys at the time. And let's not forget that Burnett really isn't much better against the Tribe. Add to those facts that the new Yankee Stadium has turned into a launching pad, take the over 10-... Then there will be nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile ;)

(argh... 1:05 game, not 1:35, my bad)

FLA Volstad -136

WAS D. Cabrera +126

O/U 9-

Uh, Cabrera sucks too. In two starts against the Marlins he has gotten killed. Really, did anyone expect anything different?! Florida is 5-0 on the road, take Volstad as the Fish make it 6-0 after day. An Uncle John's - Ripple encore in D.C. and I missed it!!!

BAL Uehara +175

BOS Lester -195

O/U 10

Lester owns Baltimore, 6-0 in 8 starts. There is a reason that the number is that high even though Lester hasn't shone Stella Blue yet this season. It's because Lester owns Baltimore. Take Lester and keep on truckin'.

LAA Loux +132

MIN Perkins -142

O/U 9

Loux Who? Cindy Loux Who? Los Angeles is reeling and definitely not rocking as their players keep going around and around the DL. Perkins has only faced them once but it was a pretty good outing. It is a good price for a good pitcher against a team that is hurting. Take Perkins and let the good times roll
