FA$ $100 vs $1000

This is my first year with a team in the NFBC and I have really enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised and intrigued when I found out we start with $1000 for free agents. For many years, I have been in a couple NL and AL only keeper leagues where we have always used $100.

I am going to suggest for next year, we increase our money from $100 to $1000. Personally I think the $1 has so much more value in a $1000 league, and think that does help an owner who enjoys "tweaking" their line-up each week. (I am one of those owners..LOL) .. ALso to a small degree it would reduce the number of tie bids...

I should mention that we do not have a "true" bench. We have 23 active players at all times, and can only reserve a player when one of our players is on the DL or in the minors. I am looking for any and all feedback.. people for the $100, people for the $1000... I'd like to be as open-minded about suggesting this change as possible...

I should also mention that in the keeper league, the amount bid on a player is the amount assigned as his salary.. minimum salary for all pick-ups is $10.. if an owner bids $11, the player's salary is $11... in the $1000 format we are thinking their salary is 10% of their bid -- $111 would be $11 (or $12 even..)
