12 team mixed league 5X5 scoring, who do you keep as your last keeper, under the usual 260 salary cap?

Jeter 28

M. Ordonez 11

Schmidt 30

my other keepers are

B. Roberts 2

Edmonds 14

F. Cordero 8

Ol. Perez 2

Carpernter 1

I think you have to keep Ordonez at $11 he is way undervalued and his potential is enormous. Jeter and Schmidt are slightly overpriced and Schmidt is ready to come down to earth

Thanks Bobby, that is the direction I am leaning, yet with all the questions surrounding Ordonez I have started to waver.

I agree with keeping Ordonez, but Schmidt is going to come down to earth? He is a stud Bobby J, with draft day coming you better realize it. He could be the best pitcher in the game this year! :D

Responses like that show you Gekko doesn't know anything about baseball.

GCA, would you lean towards Schmidt over any of the 5 I had pegged as keepers?

As for Gekko, he is like the homeless guy on the subway, you listen to him, but if you make eye contact it is gonna cost you. Besides he is too busy scaring Alex out out of the competition to give a cogent response to this thread.

Depending on your league inflation and what other pitchers are avaliable I would keep him over Carpenter. Do you think he will go for $42?

Yeah, Schmidt and Oliver Perez for a combined $31 is nice. You can find a guy like Carpenter at the end of the draft. If there aren't many pitchers avaliable you can get into a bidding war over Schmidt. In my keeper league he would probably go for $45 if he wasn't already kept.

Meet Big Bird - The Friendliest Fowl on Sesame Street

You could probably guess by his name that Big Bird is big. How big? He's 8 feet, 2 inches tall! Wow! He should play basketball! Big Bird is a very curious creature who makes friends easily. He is six years old and shares his nest with Radar, his teddy bear.

Birthday: March 20

Favorite Song: "The Alphabet"

Best Friend: Snuffleupagus

Quote: "Gee Mr. Looper! I mean Cooper! I mean Hooper!"

Likes: Figuring things out; being a part of everything; roller-skating; birdseed milkshakes from Mr. Hooper's store

Dislikes: When he can't help; when nobody believes his best friend exists; chicken soup

Gekko you are a stats machine! With those stats on big bird you either have kids, or (assuming your knowledge of basketball is the same as baseball) drafted him to your fantasy basketball team.

Keep Oliver Perez over any of them. He is going to give you the most profit. Schmidt is almost fully priced, and you should be ale to get him back at the same price or only slightly more.

Sorry, I didn't read the post correctly. All of the 3 are almost failry priced. The only one I would entertain keeping though is Jeter. But that is based on his value alone. You still need to analyze whether any of the other owners are keeping players that are better than Jeter at his position or Schmidt at his. If Tejada and Renteria are gone, you probably won't find too many other SS better than Jeter. If Tejada and Renteria are going to be available, you can roll the dice, and try to pick one of them up and keep Schmidt

Good point. I would keep Jeter or Schmidt over Carpenter.
