Ankiel .. 1 fer 2

Anyone else notice his name in the CL box scores yesterday?

Kind of makes you wonder what kind of stats we'd see if Ankiel somehow got a full-time gig.

I'm thinkin.. .280/15/80/15

I am a life-long Cards fan, and there has never been a prospect I was more excited about that Ankiel. Needless to say, this has been like a knife in the heart for the past several years. I am happy for the guy that he is able to move on with his life, and has the talent to try something new. LaRussa said a few years ago before the wildness set in, that Ankiel had the talent to be an everyday outfielder in the bigs if that's what he had focused his talents on. I am hoping he can make something of it, albeit late in the career, but won't be looking to pick him up in NFBC anytime soon.
