Keith Foulke said yesterday that he should have undergone knee surgery in March, but tried to play through the injury.
"It was something - as a player and an organization - we talked seriously about doing during physicals the first day of spring training," Foulke said. "At the time, I felt strong, it was like, `I don't want to do this now. I want to go out there, use spring training to get ready, and go through it.' Looking back, I wish we had done it early. But we're here right now, we're going to make the adjustment, and we're going to be better."
