Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

[/QUOTE]No, he will go in the third, but I think down the end....maybe even early 4th, he is only moving up because of the 50 steals. If he can do it again you are fine, maybe he hits more homers.

Is Rollins, Teixeira, and Rios better than Pujols, Roberts and Rios?

It's close, but Teixeira went one pick before you. You than would need Rios at 3.04, but Markakis is there also.

I'm going to disappear from this thread now. It's good thing no one will read this in 6 months!!

If we stay in this alternating cycle of up and down years with HR, Roberts could get close to 20, but you are right. It was the SB potential that has him so high up in my list. 50 is unlikely but 30 is not outside the realm of possibility and even in an up year, SB-wise, less than 20 MLB players accomplished that last year.

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input. I think 35 is a safe number. He was only caught 7 times which is a good sign.

Thanks for the input Shawn. 3 out of 4 top 5 finishes gives you quite a bit of credibility. Any info is always appreciated.

Fun story about Uggla. The team puts together a video of batter after batter going the other way with an outside pitch.Uggla watches it and says he does not know what they are getting at.They tell him they want him to take the outside pitch the other way.He says man I just want to swing hard and hit it.End of meeting.

Just want to take a minute to say that all drafters should be giving themselves a pat on the back. This is the first year we've had this mock without drafting a player for a team or a team bowing out and being replaced. The timliness has been excellant. Super job by all.

How long do we want to go on this mock? 10, 15, 23, 30 rounds? How would everybody feel about starting another one after this? Of course with a different drafting order.
