Sure, he hasn't done much in the majors in terms of stealing bases, but in the minors Shane had a couple years of stealing over 40 bases. It seems that Victorino wants to get those stolen base numbers back this year and has been working with Phillies first base coach Davey Lopes on a daily basis learning all the angles to make him a major league basestealing threat. Victorino has told the Philidelphia Daily News that he plans on swiping 30-40 stolen bases this year. Victorino is projected to be batting second for the Phillies, so he should get ample opportunities to accumulate those stolen bases.
