i'll do my best to get a youtube video up sometime today with my thoughts from attending Fantasy Spring Training. i don't have any interest in watching the super bowl, so that may give me the time i need to get it done. sorry guys. i had to take the girls to ice skating this afternoon. took an unexpected three hours out of my schedule. i did a preliminary shoot this evening but didn't like how it turned out. i'll shoot a redo later this week.
Ice skating?????

Michelle Kwan and Dorothy Hamill have that monopolized Gekko!

Get them playing golf! :D
The truth is, GG was watching the Figure Skating being shown on ESPN during the Super Bowl. There wasn't any "real" ice skating done by him :D

Satellite sure looks tough. Figured the $125 is money well spent for a preview, if nothing else.

My spring tiks have me in Clearwater for the Phils, Dunedin for the Jays, Dodgertown, and then a pair of games the same day so that I can visit two parks.......Astros and Braves. The satellite was more of a preview for me as well.

If I can remember, I'll start a thread and maybe we can meet up with some people to catch at least one game down here. I drive past the Phillies complex everyday to work, so this one is feasible anytime. I've been wanting to make it over to Dodgertown, but haven't yet.....maybe this year.

What a great time to live in Florida or Arizona; I have attended only one Spring Training game in my life; late 90's I believe at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex; Indians vs Braves; sat on the grass beyond the LF fence.
Patrick - if you are going to try and get a group to hook up in Vero - please note they are only there for the FIRST half of March > leaving for Arizona and China. And that is the LAST spring training in Florida for the Dodgers as they move to Glendale, AZ (a few minutes away from U of Phoenix (Super Bowl) Stadium in 2009.

As a spring training junkie Sack you are hitting some of the best spots in the grapefruit league. That Phillies park is very nice but still feels like spring training, dodgertown IMO is by far the best spring facility in Arizona or Florida with the park in the captain's backyard(Royals/Rangers) a 2nd, and the Bluejays facility in Dunedin is by far the most intimate I have been in. Good seats make you feel like you are watching a high school game up close. If you need any dining or hotel tips PM me. The Astros facility is a dump- but by far the best place to get stuff signed- if you are in to that go down the left field line before the game and go way out the right field line about the 4th inning to catch the regulars from the other team leaving to get in their cars or get on the bus. Braves park is nice but not anything like your typical spring training facility.

Patrick if you put something big together I may try to come down and offer up my beach house to anyone needing accomodations. It is about an hour and twenty minutes from the Braves, about the same to the Nats and you can definitely make the trip to Dodgertown. I am traveling on business a lot in early March so late March or even late February would work better for me.

PAT/CHEST:

Anything you two can toss together will be of interest. We will be in the DISNEY/ORLANDO area in early March for the ST games.

Be great to meet up with some of the other people taking part in the NFBC a few weeks later. I'll be drafting in Vegas.

Why does it not surprise me that you would only spring for BERM tickets.

Diamond King: I visited Roger Dean a few springs ago and really enjoyed the whole experience. Had a chance to see one of my favorite pitchers at the time, Darryl Kile.

I was not able to fit a trip in this go round, but I hope to be back again one spring.
