Res: Bedard (317), Kevin Gregg (407) You obviously missed big on closers, but other than that well done. You may have some concern with avg even some of your best players have avg concerns. solid catchers, cano, and miggy could pull you through that though.

Solid draft on the hitters, your pitching staff likely falls far short of needed pts.

OF depth could hurt if you end up with injuries. Hitting in general is solid however. Pitching depth is very weak. With Bedard being out for a while, you only have 1 extra pitcher to fill in and he is not even a starter.

I also recently drafted out of the 14th slot in a satellite league. I'll post my team for comparison. Not for the purposes of debating who had the better draft, but rather because I find it interesting to compare with other teams drafting in the same position. I agree with the other comments about your pitching...you'll see that I have some of the same problems with SP. Otherwise think you have a solid offense. Hopefully in your case Reyes will resume his running ways, otherwise, you might be in need of SBs. Power and Avg look good.

love yer catchers, Soto should really bounce back (wt loss & new hitting coach)....plus Fox is backing up Suzuki.

IF is pretty solid, Freese that late is nice (I drafted 14th in a sat 2wks ago and got B. Wood (rd 19) as my CI so I'm in same boat - keep fingers crossed) I woulda grabbed a better MI (Scutaro/ODawg/FLopez) to back up Reyes while he's out, though he should be back soon.

OF could be very good, depending on which Milty you get and if Stubbs is for real, Gardner in reserve rds is sweet.

pitching is suspect for sure....top 2 SP are good, but Kaz already on DL & Bedard a long way off, trouble ahead there. RP is decent, as long as Bailey is ok (heard he tweaked his knee) Morales could be closing for Col for longer than many think and Lyon is next in line in Hou.

better scan that waiver wire for some pitching...

good luck!
Always be closing.

Thanks for all the comments.

PBR interesting strategy with back to back SS's. I also was targetting N. Cruz in the 3rd/4th and took Reyes at 44th with plans to grab him at 47 (alas, he went 46th) so that's how I ended up with Cano.

I had the chance to grab both Floyd (194th) and then Hudson at 197th (sort of wishing I would have now) but passed on Hudson to start building my OF which had been basically ignored until that point. I just hope Vernon plays well enough to justify passing on Hudson (who I really, really like)

I'm planning on taking at least 1 if not 2 SP's from the FA pool when our first FAAB runs on April 11th. Unforutnately, I drafted after the deadline and so I don't get to submit bids the first week. Yes, Kazmir is "on the DL" however, it's simply to allow him to get up to 90-100 pitches as opposed to the 70-80 he's been throwing recently. I know he had some hamstring stuff during the spring but otherwise no major injury concerns at the present time (although he does have quite the history.) If any of my current SP's go down it may be a very long year. If the 6 I have can perform up to expectations (please, please tell me that Wandy's spring isn't an omen) and I can grab a 7th SP via FAAB to bridge the gap until Bedard returns then my SP may be salvaged. Time will tell.........

4 hours away from 1st pitch!!!!

Roman, you might want to get your FAAB in ASAP. I saw Greg post in the general discussion forum that all leagues are running FAAB today regardless of draft date. You might want to check it out, just to be sure.
