Closers

Post by Top Dawg » Tue Apr 27, 2010 2:18 am

Hard to believe that at the end of April both Bruce Chen and Mike Pelfrey would have as many saves as Broxton.... exactly 1 each. Harder to believe Broxton is totally healthy and has had exactly one chance to get a save.....

Yet, "studs" like Matt Capps, Ryan Franklin, Aardsma, Lindstrom and Rauch are getting saves almost every night.

If you drafted Rivera or Papelbon early you can at least enjoy some success with saves so far. Otherwise you were wise to wait till the run on closers was more 75% over. It's early in the season, but again passing on saves seems like the way to go in 2010.

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

It's early. It does get late early around here but it's not even that late yet.

Still early.
