Wife and kids are away this weekend. First time in a while. It's been a tough, tough offseason for me. Anyways, this allows me to focus on fantasy baseball for 2 days!
I'm going through my team-by-team analysis and projections. Started at 1pm today and only through 3 teams so far. I forgot how much time this takes.
BALT; BOS; CHW in da books! Hopefully I can get the rest of the American League down tonight. IT'S DAMN GOOD TO BE THINKING BASEBALL AGAIN!!!
Greg - I may soon be ready to make a more substantial commitment...

Forgot to mention...I'm only looking at hitters. Pitchers will be next week or two.

Hate researching crappy teams like the Royals. Always makes for a long night with all of the position battles needing research. Ugh. Anyways...DUN!

Mark, everyone hopes that you have gotten through your personal stuff, you're a well know and well liked player. I mean that sincerely,
Now this may be tounge in cheek, please keep these posts coming, they are riveting, most can't wait for the next one.

LAA in the books last night and then I took a break...TILL MORNING!!!
Time for Sunday service and then back to the "library".
If anyone hasn't spent at least 30 minutes thinking about a specific team, I highly recommend it. Assuming you are researching about 12 hitters per team, that is less than 3 minutes per player.

AL hitters complete. Man that was long.
Just fueled up with dinner (omelet) and ready to start NL hitters. Wife and kids won't be back until noon tomorrow so I have an outside chance of getting all hitters done. Already found some nice sleepers for this year!

Which sources do you use when researching depth charts?

usually i find out the depth charts by researching the teams/players. when you spend 5 minutes researching each player, you kinda find out the depth charts in the process.
as for finding depth chart summaries, i tend to look at MLB, but even those aren't kept up to date. there's no substitute to researching players/teams.

Yeah, depth charts aren't usually very accurate, especially when it comes to players who may platoon; and pitchers who are competing for the rotation spots.
Having said that, the best I've seen is Sandlot Shrink. It's a pay website for most content, but the depth charts are free.

I'm putting the finishing touches on my projections and draft plan. Wish I spent as much prep time on this as I did last year. Oh well, I hope I've done enough. Good luck everyone.
