Just curious if anyone would be crazy enough to pick up 2 of the main 4 SB guys with their #1 and #2 pick if they had the chance(Crawford,Ichiro,Pierre,Pods)

I was thinking of trying it in another league.. but would anyone be crazy enough to do it in the NFBC?

JAR - Bad move!!!! Very bad!!!! What happens if your combined team (keep in mind the rest of your picks can provide 10-20 SB's per) ends up with 45 more SB's than the second place guy? In this scenario: 1 more SB than the second place guy is no different than 45 more. Waste of resources mate!

I don't see Pods going in the first 3 rounds... But if you are in my league; I say he would be a great 1st or 2nd round pick for you.

This is from an article I wrote for CREATiVESPORTS right after the season ended. It was the first three picks and not the first two. From a prior article, I wrote that only three of the 195 teams started off with two speed guys/non-power guys..

I looked at how all teams drafted in the first three rounds.

P = power hitter

N = non-power hitter or position scarcity

S = starting pitchers

C = closer

The thirteen league winners drafted as follows:

PPP – 2

PPN – 3

PNN – 1

PNS – 2

PPS – 2

PPC – 1

PSS – 1

PCC – 1

Only two league champions drafted a closer early.

Only two league champions drafted two pitchers early.

Five league champions drafted a starting pitcher early.

Eight league champions drafted at least two power hitters early
