Washington Nationals right-hander Francis Beltran was put on the 60-day disabled list Monday with a torn elbow ligament. The reliever will have reconstructive surgery Tuesday. The 25-year-old Beltran is 2-2 with a 5.87 ERA in 56 games spanning two seasons with the Expos and Cubs. He was acquired from Chicago in July as part of the four-team deal that sent Nomar Garciaparra from the Red Sox to the Cubs.
