Worth it?

Wily Taveras - worth the FA price??

So far for the year he's 6-11 and got his first stolen base of the year tonight.

Can he hit .300? Is he destined for 35 stolen bases?

Dyv, worth it for the price you paid.

He may steal 35 bases if he plays a full season.

He will not hit .300 or more. I'll make that side bet with anyone for any amount (after 400 ABs). I'd literally bet my life on it. You guys can't really be this dumb.

Be careful what you say, bjoak. Taveras might go Paul Molitor on us, and someone will have to clean up your mess underneath the Bay Bridge.

You guys cant be that dumb is your statement??? Let me ask you a question. How many bases do you think Carl Lewis could steal out of the eight hole? Ill go out on a limb and say not that many considering every time Taveras gets on first base, with less than two outs, with nobody on, he will be bunted over by the pitcher. Lets say he gets on with two outs, he wont steal because you dont want the pitcher having to lead off the inning. As long as he is hitting eigth it will be very difficult for him to steal alot of bases. Now if their moronic manager does the right thing and bats Everett eigth and puts Taveras in the leadoff spot then the sky is the limit for him.

Carl Lewis is also 43 years old and he may have lost a step or two. :D
