Flores (StL) and Foster(Atl) both got saves last night, and they may get more.
With two (Isringhausen & Benitez) of the 27 pitchers with more then one save heading for the DL, we should get some interesting bidding on their replacements. A few other closers have been shaky. Most notable Kolb 8 ER in 9 IP (6 saves) and Graves 1.93 WHIP (eight saves). Looper, Takatsu and even Foulke have failed to instill much confidence. Pickup Chad Fox (86% activated) also went on the DL.
Of note:The average team in my league has under $750 left and I’m hoping to get another $1,250 spent this week.
Based on recent successful bids for Burgos a $169 average bid acquired him, with $164 (3 times) being the most common. $313 was second most common (twice) and $355 was the highest (AL only).
