Jim Thome will have season-ending surgery on his right elbow next week, the Phillies announced.

Thanks for allowing me to waste my 2nd round pick on you. Heck I woulda rather have Bonds...at least he wouldn't have gotten me a .200 average, like you did. Thanks for tricking me into thinking you were a DEPENDABLE MLB player. I mean entering this season how many years IN A ROW did you hit over 40 homers...4. how bout the number of years IN A ROW you hit 30 or more in a season...9! and now you have this year

between you and foulke (my 4th round pick), you doomed my chances of winning it all. you must feel kinda slick, like you taught the big dog a lesson. well i got news for ya pal, i'll be back, but your ass won't be on my team

THANKS BOZOS

Who would have ever dreamed Thome would have injury problems?

well, he had thumb issues before didn't he? But nothing this serious... Anyway, as an owner of Rolan and Garciaparra, I feel you pain

Spy My chiropractor told me they dedicate a whole semester to his back in school.

Yeah that is a tough loss- I just like giving Gordon a hard time. If I would have picked at the very end of the 2nd round and he was there I would have taken a chance on him. I had him ranked ahead of Ortiz.

I NEVER pick "risky" players like Thome!

Not me...I go for younger dependable players like Rolen, Dotel, Vidro, and Escobar.
