Something tells me that will be the first time GG has ever stepped foot in that library.

If he doesn't win his "advice business" would go down the drain. I'd like to see him play. Nothing against him personally, but what makes his advice better than anyone else's? let him play here and prove he's that good. I don't pay for his service and won't. I prefer my advice. It's free and my results have been fine without him.

He does play in expert leagues - LABR, XFL and Tout and does very well, Ron knows his stuff and is constantly developing new strategy and draft precepts.

Boyfriend? I leave that stuff to you and your crew.
As for shandler's program, there is no cost. You can make a $5 donation if you want. For being an industry pimp perry, you short on accurate info

Need to borrow $5 for the donation? Or will the person that pays for your subscription make the donation?
Have fun... Let us know what Ron says about not playing so we can compare it to his answers last year.

He doesn't need to prove anything to you or anyone else vander I don't really want to get in debates about this, however. Those "expert" drafts mean nothing to me. Look at them. I think most will agree they're a joke. I don't even look at them in magazines anymore. For my business he will have to prove himself here. Not against so called experts or journalists. I really don't mean to sound cocky or disrespectful. If most nfbc guys consider themselves the best, and I think they do, why pay for someone else's advice? I do ask advice of others, some on this board. I respect their opinions higher. Sorry. Don't know him from Adam and his opinion means nothing to me. P.S. I don't ever read columnists from my local papers either. Their knowledge of baseball is abismal. Even the ones in the hall of fame. It's a good thing for them it's other writers voting them in. One guy here in Chicago, who has since passed away wrote about baseball for 50 years here and is now in the hall. I read him as a kid. As I grew older realized he's covered this for a lifetime, and doesn't know know squat. Just my foolish opinion. Maybe spent too much time listening to Bobby Knight.

I admit to paying for data, I get several magazines, read them, plus things like the Baseball America Prospects guide. I don't have the time to go scout the minor leagues or what ever. I don't think there is any shame with reading others analysis and deciding for yourself what to take. I create my own projections formulas, but, I always look at others lists to understand why mine is different.
So I don't hijack the thread, I am going to start a new one

Spy Not really what I meant spy. I buy mags also and use a lot of stuff in them as well as they are quick referance to stuff. I'm fine with paying for that stuff too. What I'm not really interested in is the opinions of the writers. It doesn't bother me that it's there and I know many read and use those opinions. At this level I think you need to have your own opinions, and I'm sure you do. Every year I get into a discussion with someone from a local league that starts with "this guy says this about this player" and that's fine for the local league guys. I don't care what they say (the writers) and I've tried to explain that to some of the other players that take that info as gospel. They don't change and I take their money. I'm starting to feel guilty about it, but they won't listen to me. They listen to "the experts". Year after year. At this level the "experts" opinion s/b meaningless. You guys are the REAL experts. Not the writers. Shandler's service to me would mostly be seeing how it will affect others, not how it would affect me. Again I have never sampled it and maybe he is the greatest baseball guru of all time and I'm missing out. At least I will be different. Again, I'm sorry if I offended anybody. I don't begrudge Shandler or anybody else for providing a service like his and I'm sure his is one of the best if not THE best out there. It's great for the casual player. I just choose not to go that way and will leave it at that.
