So much for Prince Fielder's return to action.
The Brewers first baseman has been sidelined by a strained right quadriceps and was expected to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants. But Fielder again felt tightness during a workout Tuesday, so he sat out the game.
Fielder hurt his quadriceps last week during the team's timed 60-yard dash. Manager Ned Yost said the athletic training staff would decide Thursday morning whether Fielder would be cleared to play in a rematch with the Giants, but don't count on it.
This is a type of injury that could linger well into the regular season and affect his play (if he plays).

I'm not afraid of strained quad's, however I also am not real interested Prince anyway and how long do you figure those sb's he put will last? Judging from the previous posts, you've seen him. He should make his dad proud and have an extra belt size than his pa before he retires.

Some kids never grow up...
Gekko just happened to forget posting the latter half of the news...
"Fielder looked good in batting practice today, but didn't play. "I'll be in there [Thursday] for sure," he said."
per Rotoworld.
heh

[/QUOTE]There is a big difference between adding a buck to someone's player and having a back and forth bidding war from $17-27..when you are bidding back and forth for $10 worth of salary, that is a bidding war, not trying to squeeze a buck more out of someone... was that YOUR first auction billy, your roster makes me think so....are you gecko's sidekick?
ps..i just read this on MLB.com...funny its geckos main closer and most expensive pitcher...
"2. Huston Street, RP, OAK: From Houston to New York City, this guy is a landmark ... of hype. How many other closers can blow 11 saves in one season and still be considered among the game's elite? Just make sure that you don't end up on the wrong side of the hoopla -- "SoHo," to be exact -- on draft day.

for the record, i think fielder will have a VERY good year. he might even make it up to $27 worth of value, but at least i don't have to hope for that...just to break even.
btw, you had some nice end game picks for low $. good job.
