Tests on Joe Beimel's "mushy" elbow discovered nothing significant, and the left-hander was cleared to play catch on Tuesday. Beimel said he felt something "mushy" in the elbow after Monday's appearance. "The doctors just looked at it, and it's no big deal," he said. "They think it might have been some kind of sac in there that got irritated on the bus ride."
"...irritated on the BUS RIDE." WTF! When will MLB learn and stop using those injury inducing bus rides! What...did the bus drive over his arm? What a bunch of pansies....

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

They're spoiled. As you probably know most veterans don't do the bus thing and only play home games in the spring. MLB says you must bring some "real" players on the road, but I can tell you the real players don't want to go and management doesn't force them. In a recent Mets road game nobody expected to make the team was present except Maine the starting pitcher that day. Fans complained as well they should. They paid to see a mlb game, albeit spring, and got AAA.

Vander, I agree with your assessment, but as a Dodger fan, I can tell you, Beimel is NOT a major league caliber player. He only "thinks" he is. Someone needs to knock him off of his high horse. It's bad enough that veterans don't want to make bus trips - this is the same idiot that didn't show up for the playoffs.
