I see both sides to this..... here is where my 2 cents comes down. Just because someone says its so, doesn't make it so. If your spending money in these leagues, the least you should be doing is reading the USA Baseball Weekly every week. If so, then you will know 99% of whats being put on the table here. I look at this as a similar facet of Poker. Sometimes a manager can come on here and sell you something good, in order to build some credibility for the next sale, which may be a " Bluff " just to get you to dump some FA $$$. Its up to the buyer to decide which it is. I like the added aspect of trying to figure out whether some one is " Bluffing " or not, just like in Poker..! that's my humble opinion anyway.

Personally, I can't stand when one of these so-called experts, who just talks so he can be heard, starts spewing nonsenses about available players. Each person in these leagues payed enough money that they should be doing their own research without the big mouths spewing off.

I Should have preceded my last post with the catalyst to my Topic , which was this quote from JRGOLD. Hope this puts it into context. I think this is a valid and relevant Topic, worth a high quality conversation, Where better to have that discourse than here and now. I can smell the hot dogs and popcorn already...!!

I agree most definitly, but there are many new owners to these leagues this year ( I am one of them) and to spew off "advise" on what a player should go for in FAAB is the problem that I have. Scream out all the players names you want.

Jr ... I get that, but, here's the thing. If some one says a player is worth 250 when in fact he may be only 50, or 50 when he may be 250, gets back to the " Poker Talk ", ... is he Bluffing or Not. Now if everyone here thinks that " Poker Style " of play doesnt belong here, Oh well, I can play either way. But like I said earlier, I think its all part of the Game and with that understanding, should make the game more interesting and challenging. Again, either way is fine with me, but we should try and come to some consensus.
