Did anyone start Zito in COL?

Post by Gerry ScottoDiMarco » Mon Apr 16, 2007 3:34 pm

After his slow start, I would likely have had him on the bench this week; however, Zito is having a really great performance tonight.

If I had to bet on one pitcher getting lit up tonight, I think Zito would have been near the top of the list. I would have never thought this would be the worst performance tonight:

Pitchers IP H R ER BB SO HR PC-ST ERA

C Hensley 5.0 11 10 10 3 1 2 85-47 12.21

Ouch! Shades of Jason Marquis in 2006...

I started him today, mainly because my team is quite injured. At least until it gets warmer, Coors Field isn't the softball field it used to be. Is it the humidor, the weather, or something else?

We started Zito but we also started Francis. Double-edged sword I guess, but nice to see Barry break out of his funk.
