First the Mets were indecisive about whether to put Alou on the dl or not. Since being put on the dl (May 13), the Mets have consistently stated that he should be good to go NEXT WEEK. Now they say that his quad has a tear and that he will see a doctor NEXT Monday. With all this in mind...



1. Alou has stated all along that he's not close to coming back, why the deception by the Mets?



2. Alou owners can expect bad news since the Mets are taking a week for a doctor to even look at him.



3. Alou owners have to be upset, holding on to him for all those "next week" starts and now knowing that they'll cut him or wait till well after the All-Star game to use him.



4. I don't remember a year with so much misinformation from MLB teams.

Does the abundance of misinformation make fantasy baseball more of a challenge? Or a nuisance?

For me, it is more of a challenge trying to see through the smokescreens that ownership of some teams want to throw at us. Damn nuisance when I guess wrong though!

I'm with you on this one. I've been burned a couple of times. Thome, Jose Valenetin, Alou just to name a few. Dang teams can't make up there mind or don't want to share the actual information with anyone. Trying to read there minds is impossible! LOL

It is a copycat world, I blame Bill Belichick.

This got me thinking...



Already bombarded by generally dumb questions by dumb reporters for general sports articles...add in the die hard fans and/or gambling writers wanting to know detailed/specific game plans/injury diagnosis/depth charts for their media demand...and now you add the fantasy fanatics who can't get enough info to satisfy them.



They could become sick of the "in-depth, specific and high quality" questions they are now asked, and can no longer just spill their usual bowl of crap answers on the reporters and walk away.



The vague "classically correct" answers spewed by coaches don't apply when confronted with great, knowledgeable questioning.



It could become a growing act of rebellion to just misinform/not inform, and walk away.
