Rodriguez, Alex #1 consensus selection. Unlikely to duplicate '07, Power (8.0 HR%) & RBI (23) rate was off charts.

Blake, Casey Both HR% and RBI% dropped steadily in '07, Expected decline for 34 YO

Chavez, Eric Bounce back expected as Batting average was underrated due to unlucky Singles %

Wright, David Favorable EYE rose from .58

to .82, sustains rising OPS. RBI totals should climb as well

Rolen, Scott Fly Ball hitter should improve HR/RBI totals in TOR. Shoulder health is question mark

Reynolds, Mark Flyball hitter bodes well in AZ, however K% of 33% is absurd and will be exposed through his BA in '08

Ramirez, Aramis HR% on steady decline since '04 (6.2 to 4.7), ADP says late 3rd round, VAM says early 5th

Blalock, Hank HR% returned to 4.4 in injury plagued '07. Late round bargain for Fantistics subscribers

Encarnacion, Edwin Improved his EYE during the 2H of '07, expect to see an increase in XBH% but slight slide in BA.

Kouzmanoff, Kevin K/AB % decreased to .16 in 2H of '07, ended half with solid 11/41/.318

Longoria,Evan Lots of power potential, but high K rate (.28) will hurt BA and Runs scored potential

Lowell, Mike Lucky Singles % accounted for 30+ points to BA in 07. Pitch location guesser may be exposed in '08

Figgins, Chone Lucky Singles % accounted for 40+ points to BA in 07. Overrated at 5.02 ADP

Feliz, Pedro Move to hitters park will improve his power potential in '08

Glaus, Troy Move to Pitchers park will have slight effect on production, contact is a bigger issue

Cabrera, Miguel Only 24 YO, could have monster season moving from pitchers to neutral park. Top 3 in daily consistency

Mora, Melvin OPS on steady decline since '04 (973 to 758). Power drop following age decline (36 YO)

Wigginton, Ty Poor EYE (.36), bump up HRs in Houston. Risk to lose PT to Blum.

Zimmerman, Ryan Poor Weekly consistency could be related to wrist injury. unlucky BHIPx in '07, increase in BA proj

Braun, Ryan Power is real, but BA is not. Inflated BHIPx, Poor EYE (.26) makes him risky in sophomore season.

Gordon, Alex Power spike in second half, rushed to MLB w/ only 1 MiLB year. Needs to improve EYE (.30)

Beltre, Adrian SLGs 80 points higher in warm months, Poor EYE results in spotty consistency (12th percentile)

Atkins, Garrett Solid 2H of '07 (14/66/.348), Fly ball hitter who performs much better during the summer months.

Garciaparra, Nomar Steady drop in XBH%, decline expected to continue for 34 YO

Jones, Chipper Top FPI producer (.80+), injury and age is major consideration. '07 was first season above 500 AB since '04

The ones not listed is where you need to ponder.

Fields vs Crede.

PT for Tracy & LaRoche.

Who gets the everyday job from May on for SF & FLA?

Upsides for Lamb & Bautisa?

Really? Were you over at the MLB site looking at all the 'Eye' stats. Dude, that is a Shandler invented name for a stat that only appears in his book (and website).

C'mon OverYourShoulder,

I am NEW to all of this, and have read everything I can, and know that your whole post comes from Shandler's book.

How much money do you have to back that statement up with? [/QUOTE]I'll wait until Vegas to take your money. Hope you are in my league. It is a Shandler invented name. You may be deconstructing my sentence to think I'm saying a Shandler invented stat or that you can't find the results somewhere else labeled differently. Anyone else who is posting 'Eye' took it from him. Anyway, no one who doesn't read Shandler goes around talking about Eye.

As long as we're on the topic, you also say 2H the short hand for second half that *only* Shandler uses. You use only one source for info and speak in Shandler-ease. I'm coming to take your money.

A quick Google reveals that Overyourshoulder could be a subscriber to Insiderbaseball.com

Who was first- Shandler or the other site we should leave for them to duke it out.

In any case Oak, you must chill out- the OYS was only trying to post his opinion. This is America, a free land!

Stop being like the Stalin of the message board- all posts should be welcomed and not ridiculed.

Thanks for the support DUB, you are right on and you are correct about Insiderbaseball.com too. I think Bchoke just likes to see himself type. I should of just let him get himself in deeper and take his money but that would be like taking candy from a baby and I take pity on those that that keep putting their foot in their mouth.

Its laughable the amount of "know-it-alls" that come out of the woodwork to share their infinite wisdom with us common folk on these boards!
