Anybody watch either of these two young hurlers in September? Both can bring it in the mid to high 90s. I remember watching Jiminez hold the Phils to 3 hits/one run in game three of the NLDS. Will either be value plays in the Main?

I hope so, as I took Morales the other night in a satellite.

I like both of them, but we should remember they ARE young pitchers.
Jiminez is the better play as of right now.
Morales is likely to start the year in the bullpen and then be moved to the rotation later in the year (ala Jaba) if needed and throwing well.

Both of them performed like all the Rockies did during their "perfect storm" last September and October.

I like the fact that he worked out all offseason and added 15 pounds of muscle to hopefully help him "handle the long season". If you hear him talk, he's very mature and doesn't seem overconfident, but at the same time understands he needs to work in order to prove himself.
I think he could have a mini-breakout. He's a guy with tremendous stuff, but his control problems can get the best of him at times. He actually pitched with better control once he got to the majors because he said he stopped tinkering and just focused on winning. Hopefully that mentality transfers into this season.
I don't expect him to have a huge year this year but the fact he pitches at Coors doesn't bother me as much it would in the past. He's a good speculation pick.
