Who will be the Mets LF?
Moises Alou is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks because of a hernia.
We doubt it will be four weeks. Given Alou's history, count on six and don't be surprised if it's eight. As things stand now, Endy Chavez will be penciled in as the replacement in left field. However, it seems very likely that the Mets will acquire another option before Opening Day.
Could we see Kenny Lofton or Coco Crisp playing LF for the Mets soon? Poor Moises, such a sweet stick, but poor guy is just getting old.

The last I heard, ex-Met Shawn Green is still looking for a job. He can also play 1B, which would be a plus given the question marks surrounding Carlos Delgado's hip injury. There's also a guy named Barry Bonds still waiting for a phone call ...

Maybe Green misremebered that he can still play.
He could play another year if the Mets really wanted him.

This is all Duaner Sanchez' fault!!! If he wouldnt of been on his coke-journey crash*(3am in a Miami cab) , then the Mets would not of had to trade Nady for Roberto Hernandez to fil the void Duaner left in the BP... Xavier Nady would be awfully nice as a fill in at LF and even 1b for Del-Not-Ohh

I'd say Bonds if both parties are desperate enough. He can follow his God Father's footsteps and wither away with the Mets.

Kevin McReynolds may still be available.
