Was curious to opinions on this team? Had two previous drafts from the back (12 and 14), and personally felt more comfortable there.
Didn't want Ichiro at 3.06, but couldn't pass him up, and Delgado is my wild card, as I couldn't let him pass at 15.06.

I think BA will be a problem. You could have issues at 1b and obstensibly CI. I'm not sure about the pitching. On the one hand, overall I like it. But on the other, a lot of them have question marks. Speed should be pretty good. I'm sure you're counting/hoping on 20ish from Matthews, Kinsler and Milledge.
It's hard to guage where you'll end up. I think you needs things to go right for a couple people on the offensive side(delgado being one) and the pitching too, although I have more faith in your pitching.

As a rook, it's hard for me to give you historical based feed back but to me I think you got great value with some of your picks...specifically Ichiro, Hafner, Wagner, and Carmona. All of them should have gone earlier...IMO.
Overall, your team looks slightly above average to me...but I base that on mock drafts that I have done versus any satellites. I think your team will finish in the top half of whatever league you're in, but I would think it's going to take stronger pitching (overall) and better balance with your batting to win a 15 team league. I could be way off and again definitely don't have the historical success to back up my comments.

I'm picking out of the 6 hole as a preference and I'd would have taken the same players you did in the first 3 rds if they had been available. Probably would have gone with more pop with my 4th pick, but overall - if Pronk and Delgado produce - I think you'll be alright. Like the staff very much especially the top 5 SPs. Wandy in the 24th? Nice.
Yeah, looks like avg may be a problem - even more than Ichiro can mitigate. A high avg C or MI would have served you well as a buffer.
I do like the 6 hole, though. Will tell ya how mine worked out in a few hours....

I think Pronk WILL produce this year, and will hit in the high .280-.290's. I also see Guerrero, of course Ichiro, and Conor Jackson in the .300's. Pierzynski is a decent hitting catcher and I don't see too many "casualties" in my average with the exception of Delgado, Iguchi, and Varitek. Ichiro will count 1 1/2 times Varitek's bat, so that will take care of that. I am ONE big stick at 1B/3B or 2B/SS away from REALLY liking this team.
My biggest mistake was not securing a quality MI, and that will hurt me, but "lesson learned".
I hope you are right about my staff, as I do like it also.
Thanks for the comments!

Anyway, you are 1 big bopper away from having about as great a team as one could hope for in thie format. The only real issues I see are the OF doesn't look that pretty after Ichiro and Marmol has to keep the closer role as well...

I like your offense. Rios hung around late for you- Nice value. No gleering holes (kendall maybe). Getting CPena and Posada no easy feat.
SP is where you may run into some trouble.

And how did you land Billingsly , Main and Carmona in rounds 9,10, and 11??
NOt to complain or anything but that league draft was weak and you took perfect advantage of it, as you should of.. Good Job..
Buy the way Delgado is stinging the ball the other way , the past 3 days.. Thats a great sign for him cause he's one of the worst spring guys usually...

Delgado is a HUGE key for me, as if he does well, so should my team.
I am not a big Carmona fan, but as my #4 in the 11th round, I couldn't pass.
We shall see.
P.S. You do realize this was a satellite on Wednesday and NOT a Main team?

"I couldn't pass. "
I hate that line. If you don't like the player which round should be irrelevant. IMHO you take a player you like that fits your draft plan.
In any case it work out because you have a wonderful team and anyone would want to start out with what you got!

Just looking over my Main league...at your pick 6 slot you would not have been able to draft the following players from your team in the rounds you got them...
These guys would not have fallen to you...
Rollins
Vlad
Ichiro
Hafner
Wagner
Billingsley
Maine
Carmona
C. Jackson
Marmol
Milledge
Delgado
Pierzyski
Gorzelanny
Ethier
etc...(more)
Not to say other players were less valuable...but that's just an example of the difference between a sample satellite and a sample main event.
Good value!

Not quite true, one of the league in nyc had hanley going 7th and I think rollins as well (not in my leaque unfortunately!) but I agree with the rest Lance! you just don't see falls like that. I thought this team was a main event team. Makes allot more sense that it was a satellite
