Let's hear em. Here's some of mine...

David Ortiz - Never lock up your DH spot that early. He's a year older on gimpy knees. stay away.

Carlos Beltran - When a CF gets both knees operated on, that means STAY AWAY. sb's could go right down the toilet.

Matt Kemp - Great #'s but is getting squeezed for PT. if he continues making lacidasical mistakes, his AB could be chopped significantly

Carlos Zambrano - Z's ERA has risen the past 4 years. WHIP ratio the past two years is unacceptable as a front line starter. lot of pitches on his arm.

Jim Thome - Again, locking up a DH spot early with a guy who is VERY brittle. will sit the when the sox are in the NL.

Jason Bay - never the same after knee surgery

Dan Uggla - .250's isn't what you are looking for from a 2B with no speed

Carlos Delgado - I watched the guy play last year, and he was downright brutal at the plate/ mechanics looked all messed up.

Soon to be overstuffed pigs?

Braun and Weeks

Braun

"It's my right Achilles, so it hurts when I try to push off my back leg [while] hitting or running ."

Weeks

A swollen right hand is going to force Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks to take a few days off. Weeks has been a strikeout machine at the plate, punching out 20 times in 40 at-bats while batting a meager .125. He also has been erratic in the field, committing a team-high five errors.

What about Francisco Liriano? ;)

I disagree on your Zambrano read.

We all know that he is a head case and the contract negotations last year could not have helped.

He might actually be "relaxed" this year. He has been incredibly focused this spring and has been dominant (not that we can read too much in to spring stats).

Time will tell but he has a great lineup behind him and a solid bullpen.

Zambrano will win 18 games with an ERA of 3.85, WHIP of 1.25 and 180Ks.

Put it in the bank

Agree with all, Thome and Zambrano with the caveat that they were taken in the ninth or earlier.

Beltran's adp not moving was a surprise to me. I had him behind Granderson, Sizemore, Rios, Ichiro, Guerrero, even Markakis who I don't expect to match last years numbers.

Was the reason press driven? Although there was word about Beltran's surgery it seemed the press was very quiet about him and screaming about Pujols and Soriano.

By the same token how about the "How long are you prepared to hang on to these guys while they are in the minors" awards going to Rasmus, Bruce, and Longoria, and Kershaw.

Or the "Now that I have rostered these guys well before there adp, how will they perform against real major leaguers and can they do it for 6 months?" award going to Cueto, Milledge, and Velez.

The perennial Jason Bay - he had two good performance-enhanced seasons in the mid 00's, get over it. Even the Pirates don't want him. He's a 265 hitter with 20-25 HR power on a bad team with minimal speed. That isn't a single-digit round player.

Howie Kendrick - 9 HRs and 11 SBs over 2 seasons and 625 plate apppearances. He hit over 300 in a half a season last yr thanks to an inflated hit ratio. Whoppee, he's the David DeJesus of the IF.

Billy Butler - DH clutter that "might" hit 20 HRs while stealing nothing and delivering poor R/RBI production on a low-scoring team. I could cobble together a new guy every month from the waiver pool and get better stats from my DH slot.

Good call on Weeks, as I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back in the minors again this season.

Milledge is the real deal...

I had Liriano and Weeks on mine also. I would have taken Ortiz at 10th pick in Rd 2, if he had fallen.

Carlos Delgado - I watched the guy play last year, and he was downright brutal at the plate/ mechanics looked all messed up. I agree with almost all other than Uggla. He hit .282 in 2006, .245 in 2007. There's no reason to think he can't hit .260-.280 this year. He's a young player. I certainly don't have him down as a .250 hitter. I think once again, the previous year gets too much attention.

As far as Kemp, my guess is he gets 500 at-bats and provides excellent all-around numbers. He is also projected as future power hitter.

I think Ortiz will be right around Prince Fielder as far as value but I do agree with you it's not the best thing to wrap up your DH early. I have picked Sheffield in the 6th, but that could end up being a mistake. Hopefully, he attains outfield eligibility at some point but I'm not holding my breath.

Overall, a good list.

Just my opinion, but I think CC goes on the overstuffed pig list.

He's had his career year, made it without significant injury. I don't think it happens twice.

Kendrick - He's going to be healthy and break out some time. Maybe this year... 15-95 .320 25 SB's when he does.

Butler will be a 1B after first month. .290 18-95 for him this year.

[/QUOTE]Nah- I am actually a little shocked Longoria is not. I thought to at least appease the fan base. I have heard he may only need as little as 11 days to avoid super 2. I had some roster flexibility creating less need to carry bench players so I took a stab at Rasmus. Hopefully they both work out. If not I will be like the other 388 guys who make mistakes in this contest- leaving you the other spot all to your self.
