He was one of my favorite sleepers entering last year, but after a bit of research on my part I found out that the Cardinals HATE Reyes pitching approach (flyball) and his reluctance to change to more of a GB pitcher. So I wasn't very surprised to see the following today...
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Anthony Reyes will make the Cardinals' 25-man roster as a long reliever.
My condolences to his owners this year.

He went from an ADP of 15th/16th round in 2007 to 29th/30th this year. No harm, no foul.

Also one of my favorite sleepers- to go further to what KOQ said- bjoak said something interesting to me before the draft that fits Reyes. Anyone who drops 10-12 rounds in ADP from the previous year who is perfectly healthy is worth a flyer.

I bet he'll be traded.. there's a dozen teams interested and the Cards have made it known he's available... I'd like to see him in a Tribe uniform, but staying in the National League would be better for his value... Petco maybe?

I honestly think they may have enough disdain for this kid that they keep him to hold him back.
If you get a second read Shandler's 07 write up on Reyes versus 08. Essentially goes from just a matter of time before this guy is a fantasy number one, to why would anyone draft this guy ever?
Keep in mind he had probably the best spring training in all of baseball in 2007- his April performance will be critical.

Obviously, Duncan hates the guy and maybe a trade would suit both parties?
Would you cut the guy at this point and pick up another question mark or would you hold him and hope he makes it back to the rotation or traded with the decent spring he had?
FUDD I'd would cut him in a low budget league such as the KIMO league. I don't think anyone will pick him up!!
Absolutely. He was a great pick for the round he went in. Not sure 'perfectly healthy' is the best way to describe him, though. There's a certain amount of wear and tear.
Actually I do- Moose round 25 or after is fine by me. I actually drafted him once this year. He is going to compete with Brian Bannister and Anthony Reyes for the #7 starter job on that squad. I promised him nothing.............

the reason reyes won't get picked up in the kimo league is because all the owners will be going after laird knowing the salty owner needs a catcher!
