Kelly Johnson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he's been feeling pain in his left knee since spring training of 2007.

That's what separates him from Jemille Weeks brother, he's willing to play through the pain.

Which is good reason for Atlanta to start looking at getting Pierre...

Even if Johnson is healthy, or plays through the pain, Atlanta has to get somebody better up at the top of the lineup.

I give on Kotsay. That is a highly probable dud.

Lol. Unless the Dodgers eat 99% of that contract and are willing to take nothing back in return, that ain't happening. Come on now!!

Pierre and his much lower OBP is better than KJ or Escobar? Weird.

Where would he play also? I suppose he could be Deion reincarnate where he just flies into the game in the 7th inning and pinch runs or something.

Even if they eat all but a million a year on his contract do you really want to block the path for Jordan Shafer and Jeff Heyward that badly?

the braves have at least 5 centerfielders better than pierre- at a total cost of around 2 million.

This is why I love playing with you guys... You think the world is so flat...

Did anyone notice anything out of the ordinary about the Braves' lineup last night? There were three things I noticed and I will tell you the second two. You can think about the first one.

b) There is no speed.

c) They are all first-pitch swingers.

Hint on the first one: What game was played on Saturday?

There were several phone calls this morning.

All first pitch swingers? Wow.

You lost me at that. Good thing Judy Pierre and her "patient" ways might be available ;)

What I'm saying is that he obviously fits whatever Atlanta has in mind at the plate. Now I wonder why they let Andruw go. They were ugly at the plate except for maybe Teixiera.
