One game is obviously not enough to project how the new ballpark will play, but for those of you who saw the game last night, what's your take?

A couple of observations:

a) McCann's near homer that almost cleared the fence, to me, looked like a soft liner to Right, but it just hung, and carried, and hung some more. I couldn't believe it hit the wall.

b) Chipper's Home Run was similar. It just did not look like a Home Run at all.

c) Teixeira had a mammoth blow I was certain was a homer, but it stayed in the yard.

Anybody attend the game last night? Any noticable wind patterns? It's interesting the 2 HR's were linedrives that just wouldn't die, and Teixeira's Towering sky shot was knocked down.

Good observations. I thought the same on the McCann "single" and the Teixeira DOUBLE.

What I noticed, was it was cold, and the ball was STILL carrying a bit.

When it gets warm.... look out. Maybe not ridiculous numbers, but compared to RFK, I could see Zimmerman easily popping 30+ this year, Kearns 20-25, etc.

I plan on going up there (probably for the Brewers over Memorial Day weekend).

Looks like a beautiful park!

Tex's shot seemed to be far from 'towering'. More like a liner - at least on TV. Anyways, with 14' walls out there (to compensate for the fences being moved in a bit) those Sheffield-type screaming line drive HRs will be hard to come by over there. Great looking park, btw...
