Just like Salty, there were too many that should have but didn't see this one coming ...

My guess is that Towles catches 3 games, Ausmus catches 2. 60% PT is simply not enough to justify a 12th round pick.



Give me Suzuki and Navarro in the 20th round instead -- at least you're getting 80% PT.

[/QUOTE]I've got Towles down for 70-75% of the games, which would make him a solid pick. The big difference between the two situations is that Towles is a hugely better hitter than Ausmus, making him to win more playing time as the season goes on. Paulino on the other hand, is an inferior hitter and PIT prefers Doumit, its mainly just a matter of him proving durable enough.
