Garza/Posada to_be_SHUT_DOWN?

Matt Garza exited Tuesday's game with what the Rays are calling radial nerve irriation . The nerve runs from the upper to lower arm—think triceps.
Jorge Posada will undergo an MRI on Wednesday due to weakness in his throwing shoulder. Posada said his shoulder felt " dead ," after the Royals went 4-for-4 stealing bases against him today. " I'm not 100 percent ," he said. " I'm not helping the team out . It's just as simple as that."
Gekko's Spin: Both injuries sound pretty bad with Posada's injury the more severe. I can see Garza going on the DL, and I can see Posada missing significant time with his bum shoulder. Prepare for the worst (if that's possible).

radial nerve irriation . Perhaps it'd be just a day-to-day problem, but it's more likely that he'll land on he disabled list.

That's the 4th guy hurt in two days so far this week for my main event team.
This fantasy baseball season is starting to remind me too much of the past fantasy football season in terms of injuries.

Jackstraw's Spin: Posada needs to make some excuses for letting 600 Royals steal on him.

Like Jim Rome says...
April Fools jokes are not funny.
I actually noticed after Garza dove to defend a weak hit...when he got up he was shaking his hand...like trying to return a numbed hand back to warmth/life.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...Steroids main impact on sports is to heal from minor/major injuries in a fraction of the time.
No steroids...more DL trips.

True. He was pitching like crap anyways so maybe it was a blessing in disguise.
Now if Peavy or Hamels goes down....I will be a little worried.

~Lance Amen, brother, amen...
I haven't seen Garza pitch at all, Lance. How does he throw? Extended over the top, or tight and compact?

~Lance Yep agreed. Plus alot of these players today are so pampered and won't play with the slightest amount of pain or injury.
I can't blame them though as they get paid millions of dollars even if they are sitting on the bench.

It's early so you can find a New man to replace him.

After going on the disabled list because of radial nerve irritation, Tampa Bay pitcher Matt Garza said he actually pitched with the arm injury last season with the Twins.
Gardenhire said that was news to him. "Wasn't he healthy all spring? Now, he's going to say he was hurt? That's no good," Gardenhire said. "No, we have no documents of Matt Garza ever having any problems with us."
