After struggling most of spring training, did anyone see this coming? His curve ball looked wicked tonight. Yes, the Yankees were minus Arod but, last time I checked, the rest of the lineup was stilled made up of major league hitters.



My late round pitchers are really pitching well this year (don't want to jink them) in the main, but it sure would be nice to have gotten Lee. It's only May but congrats on those who were fortunate to nab C Lee. Great pickup so far.

Heck I believe. Heard an interesting stat this morning ..the last four pitchers to get off to a start like Lee with that low of an ERA and record won the Cy Young that year.



I'm not saying he will win it, but the guy sure is pitching great. Anyways I'll take it as his pitching performance has made up for that Pedro Martinez pick.

Numbers talk. So far so good. He's been a turd his whole career so either he made a fundamental change or he's just getting lucky. I'd go with luck

Reminds me of a cleveland version of last year's guthrie.

Westbrook pitched great in spring training and, while I don't put a lot of stock in spring stats, I couldn't ignore his streak of shutout innings so I took him. He was also pitching well in April before landing on DL.

cliff lee has not "been a turd his whole career" 2005= 18-5 3.79 era in 202 innings pitched. 143 k's and and 1.217 whip. 7 starters like that- you are #1 in pitching points. he is a lefty- they almost always take a while. he isn't great- but file this for rich hill. he may have 2 of 3 crappy years- but if he can locate his pitches- look out.

again, enjoy the numbers all cliff lee owners.

lee is the real deal.....the last few years have been rough for him due to an under eported oblique injury and some very difficult times with his new born son. Its obvious his injuries are healed and he is back to locating his fastball to set up his knee buckling curve. and as everyone knows pitching is very much mental. with the troubles of his son now behind he is clearly focused this year
