Either is the loser on this one.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I don't think so Wayne - I think its Andruw and Pierre to the bench - Manny in LF; Kemp in CF and Ethier in RF

Makes more sense as Manny has to play LF.

That is a very expensive bench. I think Ethier is losing two or three starts a week.

That in mind, it's Pierre and Ethier to the bench with Pierre getting way too many starts and proving once again that anyone who drafted a player from the Dodger's outfield was way too hung over on draft day.
From a baseball standpoint I can't see how it was a bad thing for any of the teams involved.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Though when you think about it, LA will distribute their playing time so poorly that if they just played the optimal lineup, they'd have gotten the same production as they will with Manny and from that standpoint they gave up prospects for nothing.

Not related to Manny, but with Griffey in Chicago, does that mean that Patterson is the starter in CF again?
