Crawford starts

Carl Crawford went in the first round in every Main event draft and I was wondering how the other Crawford start teams were doing. Going into the last week three of those teams are in the top 100. #35 C4 Bowen, #47 NY8 Champ Juice and #87 NY1 Goombas.

All three of those teams along with LV9 Vinnies Team and NY5 Hamburg Hackers are in the chase for a check. I'm rooting for all you Crawford teams, and feel you have done a great job overcoming that pick.

While only 2 of these teams are in last in their leagues (both in Orlando), 9 of the 26 Crawford teams are in the top half of their leagues.

So was Crawford a "bad" pick? Looking at Super and Ultimate drafts I see that current #3 overall Quahogs took Crawford in his Ult draft. Also players that have good track histories - DiDonato, Herron, Magner, Walla, Poopy Tooth all took Crawford.

.273 with 25 SB (Prorated to 35 if he played all season) wasn't what we expected/projected with a first round pick.

I am just glad Fielder wasn't there in the second to go with him. :D

Fielder wasnt that bad! Not a 50 HR season, but not horrible either.

I grabbed Crawford in the first in Mag II (Pick #12). Not the Main, I grant you, but most owners are top notch (Dan Kenyon though Mark Srebo drafted, Jared Eagle, John Swol, Glenn Schroter who has led the way most of the year, Jim Christie, Anson Chan and of course others). The league is so tight we are still having +/- 4.0 to 5.0 swings at the top.

Only five SB separate 12.0 points to 7.0 points, so yes, losing Crawford and the underperforming Crawford has hurt. If I do not win this league, that will be my #1 cause.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I took Crawford in the 1.000 dollar satelitte with the 14th pick and with just under the week to go im in 3rd by a point.Sizemore at 17 was a monster pick but also Hafner at 4 was a complete waste. If i can get a money spot with two of my top 4 picks being Crawford and Hafner i would call that league a great year.
