Gekko becomes expert.

I've become an "expert". No, not at fantasy baseball, but at being patient and persevering. These past two years I've been in the running to win the $100,000 in fantasy baseball. Last year I came up a bit short, and it looks like I'll be a bit short this year as well. I've made my share of mistakes and the daily grind of a 26 week season can be pretty unforgiving.
But I'm here to tell you that if you want to improve your "game" you must learn to persevere. Do not dwell on the things you cannot change. When you make a good OR bad decision or an injury strikes, accept it and MOVE ON. To be successful at this level you need to constantly be looking ahead and reading the tea leaves. I can promise you the sharks in your league are doing just this.
I’ll leave you with one of my fantasy baseball mottos taken from one of my favorite authors, Les Brown, "If you view all the things that happen to you, both good and bad, as opportunities, then you operate out of a higher level of consciousness."
Good luck everyone in the final days of the 2008 season!
