I've become an "expert". No, not at fantasy baseball, but at being patient and persevering. These past two years I've been in the running to win the $100,000 in fantasy baseball. Last year I came up a bit short, and it looks like I'll be a bit short this year as well. I've made my share of mistakes and the daily grind of a 26 week season can be pretty unforgiving.

But I'm here to tell you that if you want to improve your "game" you must learn to persevere. Do not dwell on the things you cannot change. When you make a good OR bad decision or an injury strikes, accept it and MOVE ON. To be successful at this level you need to constantly be looking ahead and reading the tea leaves. I can promise you the sharks in your league are doing just this.

I’ll leave you with one of my fantasy baseball mottos taken from one of my favorite authors, Les Brown, "If you view all the things that happen to you, both good and bad, as opportunities, then you operate out of a higher level of consciousness."

Good luck everyone in the final days of the 2008 season!

Mark, you've must've learned perseverance due to this season. Nice job on finishing so high  ....I watched your team hang out up there all season and I know it must've killed you being so close, yet the players didn't do it for you. Are you happy with your teams season? Just curious.

Congrats on another fine season.....you and the rest of the NFBC participants.

While I'm at it....people really need to check out this fantasy baseball game ran by Mike Lins...aka--poopy tooth.

I would love to get Tom/Greg to play in one of these leagues with some NFBC folk. 25 teamers...750 players rostered(same as MLB)

eqivalent to an NL/AL only....H2H and roto. It's a fantastic setup that a lot of NFBC folks can attest to. Check it out.

Again, congrats GG on a nice season. I'm glad to see you're finally an expert!

i'm happy to be in the position i'm in right now. i tried my best this year. i really did. i poured in as much time as i could. sometimes you have to accept the fact that it's not good enough to get the job done. i recognize where some of my weaknesses were this year. the winter will give me a chance to devise a better mousetrap for next year.

i tip my cap to the owners at the top. job well done. i thought this was my year, but u guys proved me wrong.

GG, it says below your name that you have over 4,200 posts on this MB. Nothing against the other posts, but this one is by far the best one that you have ever written. In fact, this might be the best post that I have ever read, period. I agree with you and I have found myself feeling the same way the last few weeks. Good advice, everybody should listen.
