Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

My guess is he's out. If that's not the case he can pick. If someone out there wants to make a pick and take over for him I think it's safe to do so now.

Good luck in everything you do except the 2007 overall! ;)

Cheers!

Brian Yes, we definitely need a replacement for him. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Bedard for Bjoak.

If anyone would like to take over Bjoak's team, let us know.

Now that things are about to get interesting, did we ever decide whether this is 23 or 30 rounds?

I can't see taking a mock draft into the reserve rounds.

Sorry boys...fell asleep in front of the TV and did not make my normal check of the message board prior to cashing it in for the night.

Quick look through 10 rounds:

Only one team has no 1B, with four teams having two 1B (or 1B eligable).

Three teams, including my own, have no 2B with only one team having two players who are 2B eligable.

Three teams have no 3B eligable players and one team has two players who are 3B eligable.

Four teams have no SS and one team has two players who are eligable at that position.

Three teams have designated DH's.

Every team has at least on OF, and two teams have four outfielders.

Nine teams left the first ten rounds without a catcher and I am the first player to take a second one (third pick of the 11th round).

There were 31 starters taken (if you do not include Paplebon). Four teams have only one starter (but one of those has Paplebon). One team has four starters (but no closers).

There were 21 Closers taken (including Paplebon). Two teams have none, five have one, and eight have two (including the team with Papelbon). The team with the fewest pitchers through ten has two and one team has five. Seven teams have three pitchers and six have four.

Interesting if not slightly worthless....

thanks wayne. this being my first year- and you being a vet- is this draft somewhat light on pitching so far? my guess is that people tend to undervalue pitching- and since there were so many great free agent pitchers last year- people may wait even longer. your thoughts?

I will certainly not presume to speak for the rest of the gang, but it my experience that most owners draft two to four pitchers with at least one closer in the first ten rounds, so I would say that this has been fairly "normal". In prior years however, there were a few more taking chances on a few pitchers earlier (second and third rounds), but this year with Martinez out, Johnson in back surgery, Prior/Woods injured, Sheets unreliable, most are waiting until the fourth or fifth round.

Anyone disagree?
