Jonathon Broxton Crap on a stick. That was the closer I was thinking about back at 9.5 that I hoped would make it back to me at 10.11. Curse you, Doughboy!

Almost picked him last time as well. And even almost asked Ned Coletti who was in the stands at the AFL game I was at yesterday (some of us actually DO watch games )what the plans were, but I figured he had better things to do.

Thanks Todd, you just gave me a great idea for another Fantasy Camp episode.

Reality, even being the boss, I'd bet that Coletti is as up in the air about Broxton as most of us.

It'll be fun to follow come spring.

i could answer that- their plans are the same in 2011 as they were in 2010- he will be the closer unless he sucks; in which case he won't be.

Well, let's continue the closer run and go with a guy that, if healthy (big IF) could be a bargain at late in the 10th. Or he could be useless like he did for two-thirds of 2010.

Ok with the usually quick Navel Lint taking his time, my own quick team review. At this juncture, I have done literally no prep...just sort of winging it. I have been looking at other teams to look at successful strategies, but have not re-examined the entire player pool since last year's draft. Usually I like to start in December when it becomes apparent where some of the top FA guys are headed.

C:

1b: Kendry

2b A Hill

3b Longo

ss Andrus

CI Zimmerman

MI

OF: Cruz, Abreu

SP: Verlander, Hanson

RP: Axford

At this juncture, I would predict @ 155-160 hrs and @85 sbs, but a bit light in runs and maybe slightly negative batting avg. Overall, having gone 7 hitters and only three pitchers, Id have liked to have a bit stronger of a hitting base (4-5 categories)

Axford is kind of a placeholder for a RP here. I am neutral on Axe, but am going to project him for low thirties in saves, because this is what I think I should be able to lock up in 10th rd.

I like the Sp base with two guys who could throw up 200 ks each along with good numbers in other categories. That said, I will have to go heavy sp in the next 5-8 rounds in order to round out a decent staff. To me, with limited inventory research, it seems like this will be possible this year.

Seriously though, thanks for filling in. I hope I didn't hold folks up.

How old is Torii now anyway? I heard he adds an extra "i" for every two decades.
