Mock Draft #2

Post by headhunters » Fri Nov 16, 2007 1:05 pm

i agree chest- but 2006 was my 1st baseball serpentine draft- $250 internet. at the end of the year i realized i could have cleaned up just drafting white sox and ex white sox. the only exception would have been taking ss guilen from detroit to replace ozzie.

I like you Patrick- I hope you change your homer ways or prove me wrong in 2008. That is unless I switch back to Orlando.

Wayne- I will say it for the 100th time- I learn from you every year and you finish bottom of the pack every year. It has to change this year- I am the first to call it Wayne Edwards finishes top 25 in the nfbc in 2008.
[/QUOTE]Thanks for the call-out, my friend. I certainly hope you are right! :D
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Good info Wayne. I like him too it's tampa I'm unsure of, although even there, they s/b better. How is Longoria defensively? About all that I have read on Longoria and his defense is best summed up as "solid". This alone could be an improvement on the TB infield if they clear a path for him at 3rd.

GLU...you are closer to TB than most of us. How do you read what they will do in the infield this year?

I've heard Iwamura has been told to prepare for 2b. Clearing the path for Longoria. If Evan is ok at 3b, Iwamura says he's as good at 2b as 3b. That s/b some help on the defensive side. Still some holes, but better than Upton at SS and Cantu at 2b.

If someone would like to step in for Sheep please do so. Sheep if you come back first please pick. If neither happens we'll try to pick for you.

I have been following what has been following the mock so far and if you need someone to step in to keep things moving, I will. From what he has drafted so far, he looks to be in need of closer since Myers is now starting or an OF. Take Soriano, closer for Atlanta

11-2 Lowell 3b Bos? Sheep or Bobboy J are up. BTW Sheep is up in the other mock also. Ifyou'd like to take over for him there too that would be great. No picks in quite a while there.

Sorry Guys I went hunting and thought I had a replacement lined up to draft for me.

Thanks Bobby - I agree that Cuddyer is an ugly #1 OF  However, if he bats cleanup between Mauer and Morneau, he could pay nice dividends in the 11th round.

The only thing I would ask if your participating in this please check at least once a day to make your picks or forward possible choices to another on the boards. Thanks and good drafting. Everyone, reread LAST SENTENCE!!!
