Nothing we can do about it now, but if everyone would check their teams so that they can round out properly it would be great.

I run a 15 team, mixed, 5X5 (similar to NFBC) league that drafts via email starting in late December. Yes there are a few NFBC sharks in the draft, yes there are just some average joes, but it is a Very good league and helps organize early thoughts. League is $100; pays 1-4th; bonus for winning categories and leaders each month.

If interested, send a PM - PVH

I endorse this slight commercial. Excellent league, excellent joes, and excellent commish. 30 rd draft starts the day or 2 after x-mass and is done in less than 3 weeks. My least expensive league, but probably my favorite because of the early start, which is not influenced by early adps, cheat sheets, spring results, etc. You are on your own my friend!

Edwards Kings has two picks coming.

OK. I will take Aaron Rowan, OF, and Lyle Overbay, 1B.

To end, since I already have 1 Marlins SP, might as well have another. They do seem to get a lot out of their staff.....so

If bored, offer opinions on roster.

C-Brian McCann

C-Dioner Navarro

1B-Mark Teixera

2B-Dustin Pedroia

3B-Mark Reynolds

SS-J.J. Hardy

CI-Conor Jackson

MI-Jed Lowrie

UTY-Ryan Garko

OF-Shin-Soo Choo

OF-Cameron Maybin

OF-Andre Ethier

OF-Nick Swisher

OF-Nelson Cruz

SP-Chad Billingsley

SP-David Price

SP-Mike Pelfrey

SP-Gil Meche

SP-Anibal Sanchez

SP-John Lannan

SP-Chris Volstad

RP-Joakim Soria

RP-Joe "The Plumber" Nathan :D

I would go into battle with this team.

SB's could be a problem, but there's definitely a few speed demons still available. I think there's enough BA AVG surrounding Reynolds/Swisher to absorb their horrendous bats.

HR's should be middle of the pack, at worst.

RBI's should be ok as well.

Wins and K's could be an issue, but that's what 2 start pitchers are for.

Wish I could've drafted one more front line SP, but I'm hoping for a HUGE breakout season from Mike Pelfrey this season. If things go as planned, he will be one of the top 15 SP taken next season.

Love Soria and Nathan as my closers. Yes, I would take Soria first in a real draft too. His stuff is that good. Well, at least that's what the boxscores say. ;)

Well, had fun. Everyone, enjoy getting ready for the upcoming season.

Yes, I am bored GLY, thanks for the invite. I think your pitching is the strength of your draft. True, it's a pretty middle class starting staff, but it's got upside. Your two closers will help you compete in saves and support your pitching ratio's. At least thats what Soria and Nathan did for me last year. I agree that I'd prefer one more #1 or 2 starter also, but with the assistance of FAAB, you might find something close to that. There are surprises every year. The 'K's' look competitive, while wins are at best a crapshoot. Nevertheless, It has the potential to be a 50 pt pitching staff.

The offensive on the other hand looks a little shaky. As you said, SB's and BA might be problems, but the biggest one may be too many players fighting for AB's particularly in your outfield. That could skew all your numbers in a bad way. I've always had trouble assessing paper teams. Sometimes they look great then turn out to be dogs and vice versa. That being said, at this juncture this team looks like it's got an 80-90 point upside to me . Thanks for sharing.
