There is volatility in the closer ranks every year and Wickman is always a named mentioned.

i really like what atlanta did. the way baseball is today- to have a shutdown 8th inning guy- and a good closer is crucial. wickman probaly is average- but atlantas d is excellent- maybe it will help him.

Hmmm, two pitching slots left. Do I go with the Grizzled Vet or the Young Gun?

I know the Book says take a chance in the last two rounds, so that's just what I'll do. But since I already have three young arms (Kazmir/Olsen/Jennings) I'll grab the Injury-Waiting-to-Happen-Vet and light a candle that he has one more season left in his arm.

(Hey, the guy had 164 K's in 162 IP last year).
